Agave hava mi some tequila!… what a wretched play on words; oh the pun of it all.  tequila. let’s talk agave spirits. stories and trade some recipe action.

 

Tequila of course, is a spirit made from agave- blue agave.  it like a bordeaux is made only in jalasco a mexico last time i checked under some form of law governing the fact it is tequila not mezcal which is also made from agave but not  just blue agave any agave and isn’t as tightly governed. 

 

now that we’ve pictures of lalisco mexico, agave and a fancy tequila there for those who like to skip my lessons in meandering grammar, let’s talk some more

 

first, I don’t know if porfidio tequila is still sold – I know fmore now than I did wheen I bought it- it is a rebrand of major tequila houses down there and I had heard it’s defunct for pissing off people, and not paying it’s taxes and at one point may have changed ownership having sold the mold for those distinctive bottles.

yes, spot the gringo -take his wallet….ahhhhhhhhh what funny joke. but, none the same good tequila and the best I ever had. @ $38 a shot? geez, I get a 15 shot bottle and share one shot with the lightweight, have two of my own and mr doesn’t drink slurps down the whole bottle like it’s water.  geeze such treachery was repaid- he offered me a job jelping move a couple courtesy of family family favors and they had  no dough it was a horrible move and when I begged off to go feed my cat…legit but not lefit excuse, I offered his driving skills up for the trip to roswell new mecxico about a nasty day’s drive away to continue the misery … drink my tequila, Asshole?  I got mine in a liquor warehouse somewhere between 98 and 02 I wish I could remember better as then I could trace the actual company and simply skip the middle man and buy the good stuff.

Jose Cuervo black was about the last great bottle of tequila I bought.  I had to give it away as it was too good and I know this because one is not supposed to wake up drunk 12 hours later face down in the carpet after 3.  no. just not supposed to happen. I gave it away to my mother…sacrilage I know.

now let’s talk agave  but now?  mezcal.  Mezcal is usually the stuff with the worm.  don’t tax people’s brains they do not care or wanna have the hip knowledge/grasp of life. let ‘em.   now I think I remember drinking  my roommates last of and or something way long ago so I bought him a bottle of ron zacappa rum from guatemala pricey lil bottle good rum.  and a bottle of scorpion brand mezcal  clear/silver/blanco- I had my savoring heart broke when I found out he wasn’t more than a swiller. aw.  what a waste of good booze on those  greedy and asteful

 

I didn’t get a try of the scorpian mezcal ug. 

 

later on a more budget friendly excursion I got mezcal after a line in a beautiful south song your fathe rand I – which I still find funny as hell   it’s a song about where junior came from and which is the real truth about romance heheheh. it’s not particularly crude but it will make you think it is youtubeable  -  so

 

I’m a wimp and still haven’t ate the worm at the bottom of a mezcal bottle.  but

mountain dew throwback – the real sugar mountain dew- with mezcal is a simple dimple weid but drinkable coctail 4 soda parts to one mezcal and it’ll taste like a margarita sorta   I posit to you   if you are really gung ho then put a splash of strawberry nectar  jumex or similar brand and then the mt dew throwback! if you make this with corn syrup mt dw it’s lame and gross and a waste pour it down the sink. spend the dough get the real sugar pop this time it counts very very much.

now oddly enough I thought when I traveled to elpaso texas I’d have little trouble obtaining my mezcal fix- I went to a neighborhood bar  in  a place where it wouldn’t  be out of place to describe as stabbie.  I got my mezcal ah the lengths I will go to to get what i want

 

now, because you cant mention tequila without somehow associating mexico..then mexican beer, beach living ahhh. so

josh hates corona yuck don’t waste that on me gross.  I like el pacifico, tecate and cartablanca- I find that they all doctor nicely with orange spirits from triple sec to grand mariner to cointreaux in the case of carta blanca.  I’ve heard of sol. not sure.

sodo you have any religious recipes for tequila mezcal or beer?  it is time to await ou with jimmy buffet’s margaritaville.  some people claim, there’s a woman to blame …but?

Okay, you get the gist here.  I’m trying to be impressive. I’m succeeding at being impressive here coffees- or about. so just you try being impressive.

In common automatic drip coffee maker, place a couple of tea bags on bottom then coffee then more teabags thenmore coffee.  I suggest making a stronger batch than most of your usual strength unless you make paintable strength coffee – in which case dial it back, eh?… if you use a percolator type machine, like for big party coffee urns -  put coffee and tea then coffee.   If you use a french or brazillian press affair to make your coffee – however you want, tea coffee water brew strain enjoy.but this time with coffee teabags all of them then coffee again.

Take a horribly outrageous amount of sugar and place this in the lidded bowl  splash about as much milk as you need to lighten your coffee all the way.  Make sure lid’s tight and shake the devil outta it.  Seriously, you’ll likely never get all the sugar dissolved but try anyways.  3 minutes over a sink with all the mustard of your muscles. (for those that are diabetic – you do it this way you und up with something right sweetened not sugar crack kid sweetened..if you want sugar crack kid sweet coffee- please make sure to sweeten the coffee addittionaly)

Now, into a mug, pour coffee/tea (it’s a rich black purply looking something sweet smelling- if you fuck up the color you’re hiding it undeer whipped cream heheheheh,) pour in your sugared frothy milk, top with aerosol cream aplenty and serve with a spoon so people can choose to get a milk mustache or not.

yes, I LOOOOOVVVEES me some hot cornbread. the above is a hint of the recipe-  aji panca 15f. half a jar of slice pickled jalepenos or a tin like 203 oz thing ‘ll suffice it fits you hand. corn muffin finn mix otherwise to directions.  that mean a big splash of milk and an egg, let no hole of the muffin tin hav not a glog of butter and sugar the top. bake… as it’s a tin not muffins, 15 minutes doesn’t do- so 22.

 let rest  five minutes as this cools the tin faster than the muffin batter and thus allowsyou to turn it out. mine had one minor blemish I could have patched instead of eating oh heart ache.  I don’t have the chip politics to show you the phone snap. sorry next time 

 

it’s cornbread…so hot you can scarg it with a tin of beans or/and fried chicken. happy eating it’s still six servings or smaller if’n you’d like.

It’s Wednesday, May 21rst….scratch that  May the 22nd (see I’m always a bit out to lunch) of 2012.  I’m in the third week of living in a house again after years of the apartment scenes.  I’m due in at a doctors appointment fasting around 3 I got up at six am.  My favorite friend saw her new nephew…I’m bludgeoning questions like everyone else   I can’t wait for the line…you just had to have been there…I’m investigating thing again…and I think I forgot my tea on the counter… ahhh sweet chamomile steeped till it goes tepid mmmm…

 

six the f a.m..?  again? no food all my damn day or 10 or more hours… curse cuss typical.  but I need to hit this appointment as I moved out of county so I need to make sure I have insulin and meds.  yep, I must pay with a fasting day to have a shot at care .  I should try sad as my efforts seem to be some moment to try. yeah.

I await the timing of garbage collection because if I’m right I’ll have the gig down and have the work I’m doing to clean my yard done but smartly- as it’ll be 3 week of collections to get that which I started or literally six whole weeks paint dryingly dull life and mechanics to edge the yard trim what needs trimming, sand the and stain the deck paint the front gross patch a lil and actually complete the work of having the trash taken away…yes very important detail that … I’m glad to see that i have shoots coming back from my previous initial weedings so I sorta know some timing there too.

Investigating… I’m invegigating table salt as a gourmet business.   I’m up now on how to sell fancy stuff to a point- my aim is simply offering something you think tastes good and is fun.  the actual recipes or origins are not vut hazy things still but your foodie Josh has a veritable…table yes table salt… veritable rainbow of colors there in-  i mean i already knew about the pink stuff- manganese ocassionally and that’s great for boosting insulin sensitivites…or it’s red pink whatever rainbow because of dirt or cyano bacteria.  pretty some of it. yes, I valiently try my best to deal with the world as it hits and thus scraped the non-bread touch tuna salad off the concoction and rolled it into the lettuce and scrafed me a low carb snack. grabbed a beer in utter disgust and  you just imagine my feelings.  i had just earlier gotten a lambasting about tidiness and completion of things to spec only to utterly fail to produce suspossedly twice at something I’m good at. everyone turned down the tuna bacon ranch things before knowing this because you can fail only once in pub grub timing.
