mom’s day 2013
I put forth my offerings, they were commented upon nicely.
stopligh marinated chicken casserole. the chicken didn’t excite me and as this is the third time it’s made it’s good enough to try fourth sure but it’s a very brand specific dish! the peychoud bitters versus fee brothers… no beuno the apple cider versus sherry or white distilled disn’t work. the brightness is missing from the raspberry preserves versus @saintvi‘s damn fine jam. it beat smuckers even! thus it’s a tricky dish. for tastes smuckers way second place o organic brand raspberry preserves way hug distant third yet another reason no offense organic is overpriced crap.
I brought over spritzers and i had to do up so drive by bartending dang~ no one wanted the spritzers. damned sinners. i got some hawaii’s own passion punch mixed with red cab and berry seltzer. mmm.
=
i liked the spritzers.
I really liked the pear pie. mmm. spiced crumb mmmm
I’m not sure I’ve had a more consistant gravy in a spell which was for the garlic mashed, and pork medalians..or sauteed zuch and yeller neckers. bread rounds out the meal btw a fine nosh really i put for spritzers and casserole i liked my spritzers and nay really on the casserole – i also made some rough garan nasala chicken drumsticks that wer snack actions. they were there but not featured.
I hope you all had a fine night with your gatherings or avoidances. we watched the michael orr storry. for the evening disney type feel good flick I mean awwwwww.

. You were busy in the kitchen! A very nice gathering. peace & smiles
@MichellelyNg - of course good
@peacenow - I’m tellin’ ya nope this is a pie! no i wasn’t resposible for this but mmm as it made my evening…
http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/caramel-pear-pie if you’re brave and daring orange spice…the decaf kind with a splash of coffee creamer sure would make this decadence a breakfast yummity yumm yummm hint clobber or cajoul peeps over for baking hour
I make a spiced rum pear pie with crumble topping. If I could just get a good crust recipe, I’ll enter it in our village pie contest. I’m guessing you need another jar of jam.
@saintvi - it’s true, i do desire it.
you mentioned it should be no surprise you weild the rum
and now spiced rum pear pie
. to be honest all my days I’ve come across a gagillion ways to make crust. no one definitively demarkates the humidity/grain flour/altitude points and yet everyone says such is the key. I have made good pie crust and I have forgotten some tragedies. the best brand by non-scientific suspicion is gold medal, the runner up is jiffy. the best utensil is not a hand cutter for the flour butter mix with salt and water which is the traditional but a huge fork. no ammount of kitchen wizzardry once saved me any of the dust the space and roll it by hand/tool. it is because of that reason most by other’s pies or premade crust. I being legally blind and in a house of ocd perfectionists with the right standards have learned that a vaccum is my salvation. as is the back side of a drain plug or rice maker scoop to make sure my efforts with the sponge make such a swift and nearly painless operation. I haven’t made a pie i think in nearly a decade. I did make bread in later than the pie anyways. there is a magic of getting the butter into pea sized spit bals this just about the point to add your drips of water and form up the dough because this leaves three rolle outs to get half rice grain bits nearly 3 rigrains apart side to side not end to end and this is about heavenly yummy for flakey crust
. thus it’s really more “technique” than anythings.
“the peychoud bitters versus fee brothers… no beuno the apple cider versus sherry or white distilled disn’t work.”
This is the kind of stuff that makes me wonder what you’re on when you write your posts… or what I’m on when I read them.
The food sounds delicious. I’m glad you had a good day.
@Roadkill_Spatula - a simple layout of the keyboard, a huddled hunch-over moi, these combine for a tour of easily explained crappy typiing
