  • beyond new york

I am home and worked my day required for being developed as staff.  I didn’t take many snaps in nyc  at all as it was yucky rain and I lazy and unartistic.

I did however note my thoughts for later haikus.

how to keep pace – the windbreaker shish .

    Penalty for showing your butt…ew..

what is greater than god, more evil than the devil and if you eat it you will die?

    here come the sarcasm

so how was the white castle?…shit.

which one of you Irish ordered up the weather from home?

    scrum square *times square packed)

    rrrrg shish

    ta tata ta ta tahhhhhhhh

I littered at the library and this time I am proud

    ninja star in christmas mystery

cloud surfing all the way…i.e. no exit or arrival or midddle was without kicking turbulance

thus the seat belt sign is on… I ain’t going to tell you you cant go lecture

    stereoscopic infant squawl

florida bound infant squawl vs nyc bound vs dallas bound…. dallas wins with the pissiest brat unhappy but do not forget the new york yowl

the airline flight crew dude bitched that this lady tried using an extra “care strap” to snug her baby in a car seat yet 6 kids flew on momma and daddy’s lap????? wtf

the usual carnival meals and cannibal pricing.

I never lacked a smoke or light at any airport.

I have a macdonalds problem visiting nyc I always do when i do :D

just in case I haiku later this is my notes.  moooning on the trampoline is a penalty….  I’m so out of it  I never knew..

I’d love to hear more about your trip! and your haiku’s!
Sounds like you had some fun and learned some things and endured the not-so-fun….like “Babies/Brats on a Plane”! Ha, better in my book than “Snakes on a Plane”!!!
    HUGS!!!

  • Is McDonald’s better in NYC? I’m glad you had some pictures. You look so young, Babyface!

  • @adamswomanback - I had only 50% success wishing love back on one of the temporary weather alert reminders….squawlers… in that I  didn’t grump internally all of his alerts to his needs so in that respect I did well.  no joke I can wish love and peace out there one trip it was the entire pennsylvania that kid had an earache in the night.  this magic perspective is courtesy of the line why does a baby cry but to beg for the love we can give that it otherwise has not?  it is a beautiful line that sure does help them not to be squished :D

  • @sleekpunk - I will remind you just not at present i very much do have crows feet.  lol.  the current joke going is though nevermind seeing me read or origami you will never quite believe i’m blind  when you see I am that good some nights at air hockey.  or telling on myself… we that read these blog words know I cook and or like food…explain why I insist on visiting white castle ;)  my pants spinneth in the dryer so I may be less wrinkled the air  dehumidifyer is running as in the non kosher way it is maintained by emptying it into the washer running that machine a cycle with extra soap and bleach… I don’t WANT to carry it upstair :) pluswith as many different soap users going i figure an often run on the rinse cycles  helps us all including me the lazy.

oh and the macdonalds line is this. in all truth it is just becoming a tradition.  I set out to NOT do macdonalds… hoping after whitecastle but this magnet of an hour to kill found me chicken mcnuggeting  tea and fries with extra mustard hot for all before i left denver out lol airport priced at 7.45 with tax.  and me laughing I can’t nyc without macdonalds yet again ;) .  the first time there I could not do much of anything as i was on about a two hour layover between greyhound busses to conneticut to see my navy then pal  and while those pictures got consigned to history the memory of a walk from grandcentral or as I saw it signed port authority left me just enough time to walk by book listed locations like bryant park and to the chrysler building. and get  some usee out of my canvas chair for the humor of another guy laughing at how out of place i looked…but i’m comfortable! lol….  I do nnot remember my obvious return to nyc to get home but later the pennsylvanian screamer of an earache and a less than patient bus driver dude.

so in truth no, it isn’t “better” macdonald’s anywhere but it is a memory :D .  as for pricing white castle was 7.45 ish again lol for mine and that was four sliders and a big drink limited by sight to diet coke with a big splash of sugar cherry coke.  middle village diner was 9.95 plus tax for chicken souvlaki platter which is fries plus salad.  the highest priced item was 25 a stuffed fole filet dinner type of thing or shrimp.  and this was definitely a middle tier place not upper tier….I tried the stuff mine was good but portions were double normal human size not uncommon anywhere and this time i didn’t feel the allowance to share unlike out here.    cigarettes which you have no interest in except to avaoid are 10 a pack with buy multiple specials  in the burbs and 13 otherwise and 16.50 dead smack downtown.  the subway was 2.75 each way I saw NO way to use any disabled discount and on this front beware – while nyc is more friendly than my town they curiously have shit customer service and in that I wouldn’t waste my time trying to find any.  the biggest reason why is this notion that it is poor form to bitch about money…. and oh lord do they… one of the biggest is taxes like sales taxes… please unde3rstand that immigrants may be unused and undesireth of said.  bait and switch prices.

  • I hope you had a really good time – crying baby and all. And McDonalds is every place so we eat there. If they would just put something else every place we would eat there too. peace & smiles

  • I’ve never been able to bring myself to eat a White Castle burger. It sounds like it would be stale, just from the name.
