I have a gift of a New to me laptop, my mother’s old one.  it is pictured above an Asus k501.  I’ts a nice gift which you can see on it’s bottom edge just right of center is a spot for reading sd cards, precisely what my new camera and most modern camera’s use.  It’s a joy to have something that works – thank you mom. 

I was Unsuccessful in solving it’s forever “glitch” of randomly selecting deleting/ garbling text.  I’m glad to see that

I have an Asus K501 bought a couple months ago at local best buy store .. have noticed that my cursor tends to “jump” from the text I am typing and go to “wherever”, maybe even at the beginning of the sentence I just typed! Is this a problem with the touchpad sensitivity also? It’s freaking aggravating and frustrating!!!! Is anyone else having this problem w/ their cursor?? BTW, first and LAST Asus laptop!! HP is the way to go!!

File this under “misery likes company.”  Having exact same problem and have read all the forum notes.  It is amazing that Asus has not done anything.  I have a K70I and it is a great laptop in every way but the pad.  I liked the description of someone earlier. in short- the problem whatever it is is NOT just mine and not ever solved two model points down the line and 2 years nearly later.  My best solution was to be consistantly typing and never ever rest your hands or wrists oneart the pad – this is not 100% effective but cuts down on the annoying occurances…meaning the pad is mounted in such a way that it’s sensitive to the flex of hands on the wrist wrest… 

 

I was pleased to see some poor soul take it to best buy or whereever and find out it worked just FINE there with them not fixing the problem and upselling them on a “surge protector” which grounds to the wall yet the computer plug is itself ungrounded…lol…wouldn’t solve anything but more cash for best buy …  anyone ever get that kind of tech support?

 

it seems though the best way to resolve this annoyance…remember joshy needs zero help being less clear in his typing …. is to turn off the touchpad and use tabs or mouse.

Maple Chicken Wings

sorry limited computer time so that’s raw as pictures go I only could waste the lettuce to bed them   no tomato rose lol that’s it 3 pounds of cchicken wings cooked down to a yummy glaze.-  archer farms real maple syrup sucks it’s actually too fancy of a grade! you want and need real ma syrup the fake stuff breaks… but you want low class stuff it tastes better  grade b baby grade B.   I had lite soy so as to cut sodium some. I had to ad half as much more water and thus it tooke 50 minutes more to boil away that and thus 2 hours 20 minutes   cooked as per directions as you can see till sugar starts to char just starts  no one likes charcoal wings so watch it!  I normally gook this recipe with springttree brand real maple syrup and fooey on target for this recipe.    I was told they were tender and I had my signature candy crunch on these because that’s what you’re doing cooking sugar to soft  candying sugar stages.      however no matter how how I try this dish always costs about five to six dollars a pound to make so – maple chicken wings 2012 ::) I doubt I’ll make them again this year.

the weather tinkies if you’re a fuddy duddy old person thinking  something stupid like I can walk it! it’s only a mile.  but not with 40 pounds of groceries i can not. some are presents to the universe/litter   woops  cabs, 2 hour delay :

 

now- what made it home is

• Starbucks espresso roast
• Peet’s coffee Uzuri blend – east Africa
• cheesecake
• bratwurst? no! sweet Italian sausage
• orange mango juice
• gallon of milk because if there isn’t a gallon waiting wen the other has half a gallon gone we’re OUT OF MILK
• hamburger buns…pat pat your buns now
• a variety of single serve drinks :
• mellow yellow
• root beer
• throw Pepsi
• throw back mt dew *panther pee
• Arnold palmer
• green tea honey and ginseng
• toilet paper yes how annoying but would you like to shower after the dunny? not I.
• paper towel otherwise my counters really need chiseling
• 48 tub of dishwasher pellets
• 3 pack of smokes in the bag and one in my pocket
• a can of beef stock? oh no! French onion soup.
• a bottle of apple mango fa breeze = refer to general chiseling and cleanliness
• a tube of chips salt and vinegar
• spicy brown mustard and yellow mustard I’m fucking sick of not having any damn mustard around here

• six pack of smokes
• italian soda- grapefruit 
• a can of frozen juice forget if it was an orange or something else blend
• xingtea green tea peach and pomegranate
• drumsticks – the mini ice cream kind

 

so in short $45 could have been saved if I wanted to wait 3-4 hours to go one mile might have been worth it afterall   whoops it was funny feeling like I should wave at the truckers I had $20 for an easy twenty minute delay only scowls because I was in their way.

 

Gains:

knowing no matter how hard you try someone hates their life and job so much that they choose to ignore your efforts to make it easier for all  while that seems like a loss it isn’t its well worth it to know and prepare for the I don’t give a shit factor.- it’s a saviour in the end.

I can carry 40 punds of groceries in a snowstorm. – i can still improve but I can do it!

I sure don’t mind that I didn’t slip and fall- i do not mind that one bit.

would you have laughed seeing me drog a grocery cart across what could be a six lan road? in a snowstorm to pause half way for traffic.  would it bother you intensely that I actually cant see save to know I couldn’t make the trip in one go…sure does slow a fellow down pushing dragging a cart across a foo of snow.

oh and DUH, coffee and cheesecake anyone?
