  • I read part and scanned some. I’ll have to come back when I can truly read. I need to get to the store! We are going to have a tiny bit of bad weather so I’ll be one of those freaks out there buying stuff because I was tied up doing laundry yesterday! Heh. Quite a bit of Irish history here. I believe the selling of children was often a common practice back in the day for the very poor . It was one less mouth to feed in the home and sometimes the child was sold to be a servant in a house so maybe still a rough life but hopefully they would still be fed and have shelter. I’m sure there were many other reasons why people “bought” children. Some I don’t want to think about…  I have a wee bit o’Irish in me so interesting reading. Have a great day! peace & smiles
