Discussing cool things with those who do not live in your land is fun. however be prepared for something of a name hunt
example: you might have noticed I like to cook. I don’t snub every gadget but I snub a few for instance the sandwich maker thingum and that cookie cutter omelet option too. reason uniformity is dull. I like grilled sandwich too and yes even paninies. but I get bored of the same shape but somehow not making the same damn funny face with food presentations.. but the real example is this
easy cooker oven?
nuwave oven?
grill, bake, dehydrate in this countertop gem without added fats or oils!!!!

==now what’s fun about this is that you’re cooking fat free. what’s neat as I don’t own one nor trust my oven for the purpose a dehydration option… apple chips are good (remember to sulphite them or you get icky brown grossness. yes people your food is and has been preserved and yet says no preservatives what a horrible lie ain’t it? awww you’ve been lied to. you must be hurt.reviews initially of the pro company kinds say it is fantastic and gets used from long timers 1-3 times a week after months! or, worth the premium counter space in a kitchen.there are multiple 1 star ratings meaning a few people got lemons which happens but the most interesting review is that one person didn’t return it because it was useful for pizza heating thus an expensive twice the price toaster oven. I’m liable to go with that opinion as anyone who cooks and takes time to say it requires 22-3 times the directions given to heat a product and still has under cooked bits..this is serious as I hate bloody chicken. next ribs? blow dryed ribs? weird but still it says they’ll cook..and they end up charcoal? oh no thanks. so in essence it’s not a darling product to me now til I physically see it in actualy touchable use/action. .if it can’t do more than a pizza that’s disappointing.

I was given a panini maker for Christmas, and aside from cleanup, it’s fun to use. It is creatively limited, but you can make a grid pattern in the bread. Slant it slightly and the grid turns out diagonally. Or, just plain stripes will do. Also, depending on the innards, the way the sandwich squishes the filling can be fun, especially when the cheese spills out. I like the crustiness of it. Nevertheless, kitchen gadgets sure do take up a lot of room. I don’t think we really need all that outside a pot, pan, stove top and oven. But microwaves and toasters can be quite pleasant tools. Happy cooking!
Jeff likes thingies to cook stuff in but me I can never make them work
Thanks, but no thanks. There is only one of me and I like cooking. My kitchen has a microwave and a toaster that also handles bagels. That is all I need. I love toasted cheese samiches and I cook them in the skillet. Fast and yummy. Chicken can be cooked in many different ways and I don’t need a special cooker to do so. I have an oven. That works wonders. Technology can leave me behind when it comes to the kitchen!!
@sleekpeek - mom makes fish wit them sometimes it’s a hoot. however I can’t conscience the annoyance of how annoying they or george foreman grills are to truly clean the sealed burner under outdoor cheap grills I like as you know to clean them when you use them and thats not every day and easy as a hose and a scrumbbie.
@SisterMae - I read undrstand and follow directions being somewhat anti male about life in that reguard. I’ve managed thus to thread hem and, butonhole with a sewing machine and even made a shirt before sewing myself and thus saying to hel with that
@MzSilver - lol, I’ll upgrade to a toaster oven thanks as I otherwise want to cook for 4.
I refuse to buy any appliance that has ONE use…ie: a rice cooker…I know how cook rice, thanks.. I have a close personal relationship with my Kitchen-Aid Mixer….now over 15 years old, and still chugging….but I am wary of stuff that’s hard to clean, difficult to store, or likely to only get taken out once ever ten years!
@galadrial - stick blender one use but I use most of they pay for their purchase a second purchase and a minor amount of profitI would buy a rice cooker and did not because I can not cook rice I can and often slightly better than the machine if I can brag
but I am machanically slower in a kitchen thus having one “more hand free” is a blessing. I can make bread far better than I can with a bread machine by hand yet I guess I have a case of gadget itis in that I still love magic machinery. I know how courtesy of my mother what a kitchen aid blender is and you know? the only use I have for them is creaming butter and sugar together and thus making pecan sandies/mexican wedding cookies. I literally use a bowl and a fork to that much use I’m nearly against buying one of my own. I guess in a way I’m weird whatever I can do better I may as long as it’s not a base to something requiring two hands to do like say a rice cooker…. I consider a toaster oven in the aspect of broiling which I rarely do in an oven and also because I want oven for one often and that’s a waste!. most of my gadgets or want of them is based on trying to make me more one person cookery or 2 versus 4 or more.
