dude that was a seriously lovely walk we took with you, just across the border. beautifully organized, through all the senses, star tour guide c’est la vie!
@Bels_Kaylar - you are welcome but this one requires a car lol it’s… a 5 something mile was it canoeing trip each way to the islands and about and hour ish tween the towns and places sometimes I need help for this one (company)
@starmanjones - with this blog post as invitation, i suspect you will have many show up for the trip
Why does this make me want to sing The Lumberjack Song?
@Roadkill_Spatula - because you’re okay? *sure hope not ( in the song’s sense of the meaning that is.
we have plenty of maple syrup around here but the harvest was pretty bad this year
AWESOME pics and there is nothing like real maple syrup. When we had Candians working for our company they used to bring bottles of the good stuff when they would visit. Sooooo goooood!!!
My cottage isn’t too far from North Bay. I used to make my own maple syrup there.Nothing finer.
You did us proud with this post.(But doesn’t it say Montana on the Chokecherry wine? lol)
@godfatherofgreenbay - you ever do thosetommy knocker rootbeers with maple flavor? on another front the kirkland brand of real maple syrup disappointmed me but for a weird reason I was making maple chicken wings and much of the unciousness of maple syrup is that deep dark flavor of the stuff, kirkland was actually a decent mid grade of maple syrup as the lighter the syrup the better thegrade. dry years. you know because sap just isn’t gushing. I cant believe I never bothered to tap a tree yet.
@MzSilver - thank you. I would like to think I have an eye for conjuring
@Bricker59 - the chokecherry jam and the wine were damn it! there wasn’t much choice in the size I needed…. just like there is very few pictures of your manitou islands nature preserve versus the michigan joint of similar name…while I could hope no one looked too close at the chokecherry wine lol or the jame, I did directly list that syrup because it was area specific just was limited on picture choice and thank you, while I at leasthave been to Canada, I haven’t been here. There is a magic whenone scratches beneath the surface and this as you may imagine is the very ideas of how I justify to get places trying to convince in today’s case the chase to want to go. it is good to know I didn’t do too shabby a job referencing .
