3:47 ship time.
It’s Monday. I’m in a rare state of not quite broke. I’ve nothing to do but drink but that while charming is not all life is. should I go on a quest?
I’ve plenty of time so to speak to get to little saigon
a fine asian market. I can get ginger candy, ramunes *mini sodas* what they told me was haw flakes in a non traditional shred brown candy they lied to me wasn’t peen tong all manner of beens I can’t stand ( I dislike mung beans sorry) saucefrom here to heaven as in the entire it seems line of lee kum kee products, sambal oelek (chili paste) at a discount no less! weird red bananas sometimes, fish the old cartoon way on a block of ice unless you know the monger and then you can have it frsher still as in swimming til he gets hold of it. vegetables of the close encounters of the third kind? bitter melon? what’s that? FUZZY MELON? white egglant minis? and because I have seen one in my home in nigh on ten years a wok.
this slug of whiskey possible says stay home and comfy with just a lil trip out for cigarettes. you lot know i am serious about cutting down and have in half so long as I’m not home where it’s too easy. I’m of course not dog sitting and thus home so um …. should I go out?
the point is simple, I haven’t stir fried dinner in ages. no, I can chinese in a flat pan, who can’t? the point is wanting to and lately I don’t want to do shit nothing…figure that out grammatically to me complete disinterest.
this require only a lil rice cooker and a immersion blender. yes again I can do stuff by hand or cook rice in a little pot or fuck it put tin foil over a casserole… I’m not saying I can not cook. I’m saying I don’t want to do as much. I’m not excited about it lately. I should fix this. I have a modest budget
well, it’s fifteen minutes later, the whiskey should win.
peen tong is for the sugared dough that is filled with sweetened bean paste and rolled in sesame seeds and deep fat fried.. it isn’t sexy as names go but sesame balls are very tasty things.
red bananas aren’t sweet but a interesting taste between savory almost and starxchy.
there is a simple difference between hot siracha sauce with it’s sugar and sambal oelek with it’s not sweetened chilis. both are warm spicy wise…very very warm.
I can immagine round steak pounded and marinated with fennel eggplant onion carrotkale or chard ……pretty things topping rice. mmmm
I should go it’s four oh nine…. pretty lil souped up four oh nine.
it can look like so
EDIT!
what I got was far different as per usual
aloha soy
yes the LITE KIND
sambal oelek
(chili paste)
yes, the big pain bottle
the woks I saw
this is a winco wok nothing against it save that it didn’t have a ring at the bottom and thus I couldn’t use it this night. it wa not the 13 plus shipping but 26 which is about right when you shop mom and pop shops I chose against purchasing it because I’ve always been told to get a hand hammered carbon steel wok as the food sticks/stays to the sides so you can actually stir fry properly it’s worth the wait to try after a prize tool
the rice cookers while surely a proper value were listing 90-140 bucks and I literlly had not so much – fancy that. hence I appreciated the special order hell I went through to get one via walmart. for 13.46
brown sugar candy in leau of spotting chinese named peen tong
tamarind soup base. last batch was knorr’s brand but good luck finding this. this latest sorry for the huge picture but it’s a vietnamese brand
as you see it has some chemistry to it but oh well
lychee ramune
carabao energy drink as present for sis

the celestial sampler of the fruits.
the unsweetend almond milk vanilla flavored

now remember since the wok was a bust, I didn’t plan on cooking. I’m not heart broke, the tacobell was acrossed the street for the #1 combo of a burrito supreme, taco grande…sing your weird all taco. grande. and remember rico sauve.
and an ala carte tostada the selection soda was wild cherry pepsi. horrible as I should have taken the water option but oh well sinner me.
this was 4:20 bus to little saidgon with a collect smokes walgreen arrived 5:25 – left the taco bell at 6:40ish. bus 6:54 arrive walmart around 7:30 ish left there at bus stop 8:23pm home roughly 9 pm not a short trip if you bus in life. ever.
I have 207/300 points for the 15 dollar gift cert at the big booze store.
oooo baby is my birthday bottle comin or what?
83 out. that’s how fast a simple outting for a 40 pan I didn’t get gets.

I haven’t been in a market that had live fish since I lived in Canada. It was an awesome place.
I use to smoke more at home too but we decided that we’d smoke outside, or in the garage, and that has helped us to cut back a lot. Just a thought sent your way.
I hope it’s good whiskey. I’ll probably have another Mexican beer later.
I’ve never been in a market such as this.
I like mung beans.
this food looks and sounds mega-delicious!
just stopping by to say… hi mr. j!
you think a good meal ! I can taste it as I read, though like you I am of great disintrest lately and having just forced myself to do laundry, I am afraid if it were a good whiskey it might win out….. which would put the brakes on any driving I might think to do because it’s raining here. So I will pour a little Makers, and stir the sliced and smoked kielbasa along with apples, raisins, and a we bit of balsamic, and wilted kale with just a small bit of culanto. and recline for the evening possibl even watch the flicker of the TV flame.
sometimes so random, Josh. You conjure up a good meal, even when you don’t feel like cooking.
@Broom_Service - it was northern mexico’s finest, black velvet
to continue the joke. I did go out to as you’ll soon see in the combined response.
- my favorite traditional reason I partedwith which was the two ramune of the lychee kind… sis had guests and thus the energy drink I presented her made for three drinks and I took a pull on a different drink… diet soda which is typically not something to mix with bitters which makes it distinct and some nice brandy.
13.46 for a simple. rival 6 cup rice cooker…SCORE! the one I destroyed first go was 20 at the base px, don’t. use tomato acids in those things..just a hint. wrong kind of materials for spannish rice. it cam out fine then did it’s tour in the dishwasher and lost 75% of it’s original finish. no joke… bit bummed out about being so stupid… hint, I make goofs with food often enough… I just try to tone done telling you all about it
(wonder why?)
@plantinthewindow - I didn’t end up buying a wok – they are affordable but something told me I should buy or have a ring with it - no such critter would be spotted hence I bought for later the beginningsof sesame balls, tamrind sauce for sweet and sour nothing- it really does require that sour taste of green tamarind…which is a soup base out my way but I’ll survive
@Peridot21 - ooo you’d have had fun trampin out with me this evening… power food shopping followed by taco of the bell – yes I know, how stylish!
@Blue_Moon1 - I was a good boy and did get off my butt to go out, the biggest thrill was the special order rice cooker, an inexpensive score at WalMartian’s where in I acquired some other odds and sods like a “captain Ron” dvd like that movie! kurt russel martin short.
@songoftheheart - it remains an idea,BUT, I got the rice cooker now for an immersion blender and a wok.. I’ll get there, it just a bit of shopping
The brown sugar candy and the meat dish look yum.
@sleekpunk - I should make the meat dish… I have made the ingredients of it before as they’re but a diced up swiss steak and greens atop a more asian bed of rice.
I like the way you thunked
