uh oh, philosphic
@Runison48 offers up a blog on whether we should emphasize the DIY spirit more. the short answer is ? oh hell know I’m not rolling back even a day towards the stone age, life improes with specialization. the more special a soul is the greater hane at turning a dollar for said speicalness. I ultimately disapproe of pioneering both the Jehovah’s witness shoe Jesus down your throat kind AND the do it yourself entirely kind. because ultimately one is not leaing room for the best of living – but taking the cheap option. There is even this idea that if you are fair with your dreams that you’ll admit the typical hit it rich dream is? someone else doing it all for you….as you drink booze on a lawn chair oeanside on an island. with hot fuck toys.
I bought the last 30 rack of beer and it’s on a 20/21 shared two brother situation both getting paid next tuesday and friday respectively. I have the offie pool so to speak that says it will be gone friday nightsis, friday morning roommate forgot totry fibbing any outcome is a win and 36 year old lady co worker said this evening ( they haven’t so far toucched a beer.
25 beers 2 young mind you. one turns 21 soon enough. might already be forget. but they’re young.
in the pot soon to be bubbling is a chicken split breast finally available again! the pot liuor is 1/3 cap tomato chicken bouillon, 1/2 cap of soy, 1/4 same cap chopped onion dried. 5 shakes mesquite liquid smoke flavouring. NO hot pepper. once boiling and I mean it’s submerged with 3 teaspoons olive oil to counter the vldl (very low density lipid *cholesterol or so easy to calcify for your plaue induced heart attack it’s scary)))/ fat sure to bubble into the water…. this will later be fried with enough pot water to produce a bit of the burnt GRILLED look to the shredded chicken. this should make enough diced/shredded chicken for 2-3 burritos I have the correct RED and / or GREEN sauce plus mild yellow cheese to make smothered chicken burritos.
my rescheduled doc’s appointment is in 12 hours 40 minutes or I leave 12 hours from now. I expect 40 bucks plus a glucometer for same said again plus 20 sundry since I’m there, 40 more for the # that made sure I had a phone all summer. call me clever about reemembering life isn’t free- even if I don’t have to feel obligated. and40 more smokes and this leaves 10 in pizzas and junk. or enough I can cover much of the rest of the month is MY food or 6 meals more not including snack pizzas / junk. or 12 meals plus 2 gals milk breakfasts etc. or, half the expected food budget of 2 humans off – my food plus a week without others buying much to anything not chipping in save on a ham for christmas the less of the holiday feasts. which means I have open –
my signature side offering of?
get this.
gouda taters scalloped.
4 cups shredded smoked gouda 3 sauce / 1 au gratin, chipped ham, milk to adjust, flour butter for said sauce, salt sliced potatoes *boiled. later in process fresh ground pepper. or essentially make a bechemel, add 3 cups shredded cheese, salt, thin that enough to re boil taters, layer boiled hammed tater ham taters ham taters fill with saue bake oered til bubbly thik then lightly cheese/bread crumb papper and broil that browned bubbly voila?
this should get me with rent, last of bills to january paid up early and through january’s drinking holiday ith? one month to go before I’m right side up from all debts loans/ money’s which is my february goal. how philosphi to be right after the holidays!
and make fucking kick-ass scalloped potatoes sooo good you’d wet your pats to eat at my house.

sounds pretty yummy, for sure. I am working Christmas and will do little of the cooking (I do eldercare.) My client’s children will be here for the holidays. They are foodies of one sort or another. A VERY good thing for me, although I will miss being home DOING IT MYSELF. ha.
Speaking of going home…finally on Wednesday I will be able to spend a good part of the day in my studio, realized that my new covered bowls are a spout and a handle from a teapot. Ha. Will make several…
Sounds like you have your hands full – and are still managing to retain a sense of humour and a modicum of sanity. Kudos.
this was a big topic in my philosophy class..especially when we debated socialism vs capitalism…. individualism vs utilitarianism ….life has shown us humans countless times that life is not to be lived black or white..yet our efforts to always be right..seem to blind us…i guess..idk…I’m still a phlosophy nerd..but…theres no need to debate…
the food looks good…me and some friends r having a cookoff next week…hahahaha
are we philosophic in our new age group? Happy belated birthday
@SandraErickson - :) crazy it may be
I like the lided bowl beomes teapot thing
. I
I do qualmly go fairly right on political spetrums, yet the more my life progresses and the situations I need all lean me left into fairly juxtaposed but just as strong the other way left. this said,it’s worth a thought now and again about what really makes up our “systems”
haen’t done a turkey type todo in about a decade…I may again eventually. it’s half the fun staring at it all done.
@BlizzZX - I qualify the “philosophy” as philosoph IC primarily as I’m such a lousy debator – but I can rabble-rouse
@godfatherofgreenbay - perhaps we should link hands – to fasilitate a line by whih the beer may be passed my way. thanks on the damn it I progress to old bastard but I can perhaps smile about it wishes.
DIY? I’ve never been good at crafts. hee, hee
@heart_beep - fine artistic one.
