• punt a ‘puter.

  awww I still have annoying delays getting here and there yay it’s all pearshaped here in my puter land fat and slow… I swear it’s 2 things fighting at the same time or more properly one thing that should be working isn’t and it is gumming up the works.

   

  Thank You @happierHeathen and @Jasonwl for your crying Debian when I’d literally and am actually more in the mood for drinking. 

   

  I’m not THAT bright not for lack of possibility but actuallity.  I still have the pop it in and it works thank gooodness method to solving computer issue.  yes, of course, duh, I actuall know the component names and some fancier technobabble…please.  I am not that out of the loop.  BUT, i like any USER am a USER not a developer not a TINKERER.

   

  my problem is as i suspected i failed in one detail when this laptop came to me. to make sure i flashed the bios to allow it to run a card reader/ usb drive versus just a cd/dvd or hard drive.  I have limited as in 2 minute each page most of the time grey outs between each process and have limited patient forcing the borrowable windows as in not my computer access to any replacing drive and no blank cdr’s or dvds to write  i have sd chips one enough to make it work from such but lo and behold oh miracles of who cherry bombed my toilets?  no media to write to and for a short spell not enough to just go sort that out.

  therefor all the proponents of this or that free online distro fail for lack of writeable blank cd/dvd.

   

  in layman’s terms,  I don’t have the right thingybobs.  the metaphoric radioshack is closed.

   

  friday cometh. never ye fear.  I’ll sort out this then or roll back to the disc I have a generation behind.  all 12 hours of it behind…that is to say providing the crusty hand cream the dog puked into the ethernet port still works.

   

  with any luck I will be online more freely in no time.

  I like the look of gentoo linux @lakakalo is to blame for this and it is slim enough to run…one flashing the bios happens… please do not bother with the step by step terminal instruction I literally do not understand dos /unix command line any longer it’s been ten years nearly since I tossed my sstill then workable but broke toshiba dos machine  it’s the same http:// gobbly fuckall smear as url are to most people here.  but i thank you . i just know i have to pare down the waste..this need only be an internet appliance with lite document viewing and media playings….disc runnable  which I’ll sort out friday ish.

   

  but never let is be said I don’t think of you kindly people and appreciate sometimes the too ctechnical for misspelling pudding brained savager of facts hey I read what I know from more than two liar assholes so cut me a tiny bit of scholarly discredit   whatever you feel you can say between laughing your ass off that it isn’t you thank whichever diety or circumstance of your preference that it’s me not you.

   

  now back to hi powered lager to be followed by champagne of lagers filched tippings….and the theif of baddad, 1924 douglas fairbanks… why?  but you should know this!
