concrete light.
this morning is another circle
another pond ring rippling
it’s snowing in that misty way
a way that for now wont stick
I’m up in the night as if I’m cold
and must walk around to warm up
the thermostat says I must be joking
and so
my lights
are on
thoughts
swirl
there’s
not a
damed
thing
to do.
but wait to
fall again into the happy darkness.

@xplorrn - + @godfatherofgreenbay -
why not go a bit more ancientbible on me and say it has such a civil engineering flair as in it habours such caesarean sunken cement to it.
it’s perhaps a bit to phallic to contain any ‘sunken’ contents… now where it may end up…
@xplorrn - tubber gloves of cautious words say I should avoid this exchange
@starmanjones - aren’t you the smart one with your tubber gloves of caution
@mlbncsga - so I can’t type so hot
  lol
   thanks for the nod.
@starmanjones - you type just fine ….

@adamswomanback -
 I may arrange a gutter or maybe a dark alley soon

@BoulderChristina - Thank you ma’am

@starmanjones - Oh, please do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I relate to gutters and dark alleys!!! That would make a good poem challenge for you!! I just realized I meant to rec’ this poem and I didn’t. So I’ll do that now! HUGS!!!
I really like this poem. Nice work. The word lamp is a nice touch. Every now and then I see a poem in the shape of an image and ask myself, how do they do that?
@TheSutraDude - thanks but don’t tel lol don’t reveal the MAGIC! (timed lines center justified.)
@starmanjones - Haha! I won’t tell. I do know about center justified text. I guess I was referring to creating lines that work in the context of the poem but also fit within the desired image lines. Word is one of the several programs I was expert in from 2000 through 2008. I had to know just about everything one can do with the program and there is a lot. There’s was also a lot to know about what not to do. I had to “de-corrupt” many Word documents because people who created them didn’t understand embedding a table inside of a table (called nesting) would cause a long document to become unworkable, for example. There was a phenomena known as “dancing bullets”. Bullets in the Word document would actually move back and forth or in little circles. When I saw that I knew the document had to be totally rebuilt from scratch. Anyway, you got me thinking and I went off on a tangent.
@adamswomanback - you get s some thanks for the nod ma’am.. thankie-
@TheSutraDude -
  I took  such as wp51 classes
  or just before you

What you did there. I see it.

@carolinavenger - thank you s . ma’am
@starmanjones - Cool. Word was one of the programs I worked in as a computer graphics specialist at Lehman Brothers and before that at a computer graphics house. I assisted in training bankers the MS Office package and was a trainer in advanced Photoshop, Illustrator and earlier, CorelDraw to other computer graphics artists.
@TheSutraDude - doreldraw no but corel paint? sweeeet smudge tool! oh wait can’t anymore show you…. graphics/pictures pile was made redundant as my bday present booooooooo! webshots
@starmanjones - I like CorelPaint. It’s very much like Photoshop and in some things was better when I worked in it about 8 years ago. Photoshop is the industry standard though so that’s what I was asked to teach at Lehman Brothers. CorelPaint is great! It was nice too because I could work on an image in CorelPaint and save it as a Photoshop file so others could work more on it in Photoshop.
@TheSutraDude - I misused it to make a charactuer assassination of my then boss…even got a chuckle out of him with the smudged flourish of his bald head
   he was annoyed someor dismayed was the lool because he saw his wife’s mirth first.
@starmanjones - Haha. CorelDraw used for a good cause!
I enjoyed it, thank you for sharing.
